The bibliography comprises the reference of the page itself as reference zero followed by the references specified by ""R directives. Each reference is represented by the length of the reference in septet representation followed by the reference itself. The bibliography is terminated by a zero byte.

Reference zero above is the reference of the tiny page. The reference of the tiny page reads:

001 091 098 247 219 171 248 240 174 254
115 055 075 054 174 021 127 207 079 147
144 223 161 166 138 137 204 187 008 006

That reference also appears in the header of tiny.lgs above in mixed endian hexadecimal. Whenever tiny.lgs is re-translated by lgc(1), lgc checks if the reference in the header can be re-used. The reference can be re-used if tiny.lgs and the base page has not changed since last translation. If the header cannot be re-used, lgc computes a new reference and writes the new reference back to tiny.lgs.

Reference one above is the reference of the base page. The reference of the base page reads:

001 171 031 081 200 193 118 006 165 192
051 027 086 137 180 133 140 121 101 071
185 160 164 174 240 188 178 187 008 006
